Commerzbank subsidiary Commerz Real specializes in the management of real assets. This includes institutional investment funds for insurance companies, banks, pension funds, foundations, etc. They can find their individual documents and data as well as a wide range of services in the protected areas of the Institutional Portal.
Service for institutional investments
In order to serve its business clients even more efficiently and provide them with an attractive tool, our long-standing client commissioned us to relaunch its web platform.
Together with the Commerz Real team, we analyzed the weak points of the previous application and the requirements for the new Institutional Portal. A central concern was to optimize the user experience of the application.
Conception and implementation with a user focus
To improve the portal's performance, we put the solution on a new technological basis (TYPO3 12). We also optimized the user experience of the application. With the help of the user-centered design method, we ensured intuitive user guidance. We achieved this on the one hand by revising the navigation and on the other hand through a powerful technological system.
At the same time, we adapted the new corporate design of Commerzbank AG so that the Institutional Portal also fits in visually with the company's other web applications.
As one of the core features, we implemented a dashboard that provides users with the most important information about their investment products at a glance. The development of the individual investments can thus be tracked in selectable time periods.
When working on the Institutional Portal, we benefited from Commerz Real's many years of experience with transformation projects. We have already supported the company as a digital agency in two areas: we supported the Com.In social intranet and the STYLEbook presentation platform from conception to implementation and introduction within the company.
Powerful investor platform
Following the relaunch, the Institutional Portal is now available to investors as an efficient tool that provides them with all relevant data and documents. The new user experience design ensures a positive user experience. Investors have direct access to various contact options with individual assistance and support. The fundamental overhaul of the portal has also led to many improvements on the editorial side: The responsible employees make changes independently at any time and are now able to advertise their products in an appealing way.
